Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sadowski:
It gives me great pleasure to write and thank you again for your faithful support of Yale and the fund that you established to honor the memory of your son. This morning, I am especially eager to express my appreciation for the additional gift you made last month.
With your latest contribution, and the matching funds it will generate, the Szymon Piotr Sadowski Memorial Fund will become a scholarship fund, in lasting tribute to Szymon and his time at Yale. I was touched to learn that you regularly visit our campus because it is a place where your son was very happy and felt at home. You will always be part of the Yale family, and your son's legacy will live on through the special scholarship that you are helping to establish.
Through your generosity and in Szymon 's name, generations of students committed to Polish culture will be able to enjoy all the benefits of a Yale education regardless of their financial circumstances.
